Hi blogspot,

Spring break's been fun so far. Pretty eventful anyhow. Day #1 consisted of dinner at Yamashiro's of which i only took one photo of. it's a sucky photo... but here it is anyway. I can't say that i would want to go back to Yamashiro's... but that's only because everything was very expennsive and i couldn't exactly order the whole menu... my favorite sushi place will always be Crazy Fish on Doheny and Olympic (Holla Pescado Loco!) Day #2 consisted of hanging out with the awesome Tiffanie Tran (shout out to iffanie ran!) we visited Art Center in Pasadena and CalArts in Valencia! What drives, right? props to Tiffanie for doing all the driving (no, i didn't beg her to drive... she gracefully undertook this challenge!) and tomorrow is Day #3, with no plans... except maybe getting a new air filter for my car... stinky feet AC smell sucks on hot spring days... at least i have AC right? haha.. wrong, i'm an ungrateful girl... aren't i? jk. Day #4 is Joey's 18th bday dinner! hopefully kbbq... since i've been craving it this whole time... and havent eaten it in a long time. OH i forgot to mention that on Day #1, i ate at this shabu shabu place with kathy for lunch. it was exciting... but was it delicious? it was kinda... but not really. it was in ktwon. and i forgot the name. haha i like typing ktown as ktwon.... it's a habit... but a habit i like (Even though it's a typo habit). Day #5 is probably the trip to San Francisco to go see Joanne, Derek's sister. we're gonna see those big red trees. it's probably going to be really nice to walk through the forest this time of year. and the rest of the days of spring break, i will spend in norcal.

[ and spring '10 will begin! hopefully ill get a lot of sun time and get tannnnn :) from hanging around the pool. i already spent the first day of spring break poolside... and got a tan line aha... pretty quick. my skin must miss tans, huh?

UH OH: Lou might drop a big wad of cash to replace her old point and shoot with a beginner's Canon Rebel EOS 450D xsi... wait for it.... wait.... for it.... :) exciting. ]

i was a bit drowsy, but now i am WIDE awake. a disgusting ugly spider tried to claim my bed. but i killed it. i'd say i am getting a lot better at handling spiders and creepy crawly things. UGH YUCK BARF.

 so today was fun. i fixed my bike's tire after learning how from my baby brother. he's such a bike genius. or handy with bikes. it was a difficult task, but i managed! it took a lot of elbow grease to replace the inner tube... phew! but i didnt get to ride it because i misplaced my hexagonal nuts for my back tire. don't i sound knowledgeable now? 

new things keep popping up for spring break fun! go karting with more Wong bros. there's so many of them! haha. then the trip to norcal! and then back home for relaxation :) and a celebration for joe's bday! he's turning 18! what a baby huh? here i am, almost turning 21. 

you know what i've come to appreciate? well, not newly appreciate, but deepen my appreciation for... is the downtown los angeles night skyline. especially when you're coming into l.a. it's beautiful. and it makes me feel glad to be coming home. especially the view off the 10 west. i love seeing the staples center. it comforts me. i wish i could capture it, but it's probably really hard without a camera and without a place to set the camera down. but i guess it'll remain etched in my mind everytime i come home from school for the weekends. it's just nice to see after not being home for a while... and that it looks so cool from the freeway. exciting!

god, i'm so tired.

how chilling to begin this entry with... "as i type from the upstairs attic..." 

but it isn't really... because if you've ever seen my attic, you'd know it looks like this:

and it's actually pretty cozy. ooh. my parents are rebels. they just got home from a concert! haha... but not any concert. an apo hiking society concert... which is basically an aka a trio of old filipino men who like to sing. wiki 'em, they're cute oldies. 

so what am i really excited about at this point in time (1:42 am)?

1. being in L.A. for longer than 2 days TGISB

2. that my parents are starting to enjoy themselves (e.g. going to concerts and coming back at practically 2 AM!)

3. that my dog is fluffy and clean :):)

4. that a lot of people do have blogs and im slowly finding out about them.

5. a bbq tomorrow by Derek and his older brother Jason. they make great chefs and together they make an awesome MEGA CHEF!

6. Yamashiro's date @ 5:00 pm on Monday (my most favorite time of the day! and it's gonna be spent in the Hollywood hills, everything is going to look beautiful!).

7. napa trip with the wong brothers and the sequoia trip with derek :)

8. clean and fresh from a shower :)

9. drove myself home in my own car from rside :) yeeeeyuh.

10. ten, ten... hmmm that i'm getting an inkling to go to Little Tokyo, one of my most favoritest places to go to when in L.A. or Sawtelle Blvd. hmmmm. probably room for that this week.

but yea, i'm really excited about the upcoming spring '10 quarter... my classes are bound to be more fun than winter '10... dance was a joke, french was french, history was a pain in the assss, and nonviolence was just a class to get a credit for.... but spring, i'm gonna get to learn how to teach kids to read! and go to classrooms. how exciting and rewarding it's all going to be. now if only i can find an internship/part time job that involves teaching... that would be primo. but summer is a couple of weeks away. so i gots some time.

so today marks the beginning of my spring break. and you may ask... "Louise, what do you have planned for your break?" and i may answer "a trip to cancun! and then cabo..."

but the real answer is... being home, taking a trip to norcal, and planning a dinner date for Yamashiro's, the sushi restaurant with the best view of los angeles. i'm going to norcal to see the sequoias! how exciting. i'll take one of those pictures of me in the hollowed out sequoia tree for you.

how was winter '10? boring... but quick. i can't believe it's already over.

anyhow, i think i'm due for a nap. haha... it's only 11:44, but i had an 8 am final. booooooo!
